The 10 best destinations in 2016
Both countries were selected by Lonely Planet as places to discover.
Singapore dethroned by Botswana. For the 11th edition of its annual ranking, Lonely Planet has released the list of the ten countries that will mark the year 2016.
1 - Botswana
"A rare, wild patchwork and preserved" according to Lonely Planet.Situé between Africas South, Namibia and Zimbabwe. In 2014, the Okavango Delta has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
2 - Japan
After the events of Fukushima there four years, 2016 marks the year, according to the travel guide, to return to visit this country oscillating between modernity and tradition.
3 - US
From west to east, across the Atlantic this earth wants to be very diverse. Lonely Planet notably evokes the great national parks (340,000 km²), considered exceptional.
4 - Palaos
The beauty of the 250 islands (only eight are inhabited) of this archipelago, with a turquoise water, golden sand and tropical forests have the appearance of a terrestrial paradise. Notice to formers diving!
5 - Lettonie
A country that appeals to the pine forests that surround many castles and manors and offering a timeless landscape.
6 - Australia

This "little Switzerland of the Americas" is part of the ranking because of its hospitality and its relaxed lifestyle.
9 - Greenland
Due to its geographical location, the Northern Lights, the show of whales and tundra were appreciated by experts from Lonely Planet.
10 - Fiji
This Melanesian archipelago will delight every type of tourist: idleness, sport and discovery.
