Tourism in Morocco (Marrakech unique example worldwide)



Morocco qualifies itself as "the most beautiful country in the world."

The most visited places are Marrakech, Agadir, Casablanca, Fez, Tangier and Meknes. we have dedicated this article to the city of Marrakech.

Morocco has reached the symbolic threshold of 10 million visitors in 2013. Objectives 12 million tourists by 2016 and 20 million by 2022.

Most tourists are from Western European (French, Spanish, British, Belgians, Italians, Germans, Dutch, Austrian, Switzerland ....) but also Americans (United States, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina .. ..) African Arab Maghreb and Middle East, Asian (Japanese, Chinese and Indians), but also some from Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, ...) and Scandinavian countries (Denmark , Norway, Sweden).

In 2013, foreign tourists were mainly 1: French with 3.435 million tourists, Spaniards with 2.115 million tourists, Belgians with 589,000 tourists, Dutch with 554,000 tourists, British with 549,000 tourists, Germans with 547,000 tourists, Italians with 394,000 tourists, Americans with 220,000 tourists. Moroccan tourists residing abroad recorded 4,723,000 arrivals.

The city attracts most of Marrakech is French. The Germans and Scandinavians opt for their especially for resorts Agadir and Essaouira2.

More than 10.28 million tourists visited Morocco in 2014, an increase of 2.4% compared to 2013 (10 million in 2013).

The trend continues, and French tourists reaffirm their disaffection with Morocco, which is no longer part of the five top destinations for French for their vacances.



Marrakech
